Television Compatibility Information
The University of Mississippi digital cable system requires a television with a cable QAM tuner or a separate digital conversion box.
Digital Televisions
You must check the specifications from your television manufacturer to determine if your television includes the required QAM tuner. You should verify the specifications before making a purchase.
Digital Conversion Boxes
If your television does not support a cable QAM tuner, you can purchase a digital conversion box from the Telecommunications Department. The cost of a digital conversion box is $97+tax, billed to the student's bursar account. If you would like to request a cable box, please send an email to telcom@olemiss.edu
and include your Student ID number as well as your phone number and location.
